Toto Wolff responds to accusations against Horner: This is what he says!
- GPblog.com
The entire Formula 1 world has been holding its breath for a fortnight: what will be the outcome of Christian Horner's investigation into alleged inappropriate behaviour. As is well known, the Red Bull Racing team boss strongly denies all allegations. His colleagues from other teams are now also reacting to the developments at Red Bull. Toto Wolff is one of them.
Wolff was also under a magnifying glass for some time recently, having been accused of sharing insider information with his wife Susie Wolff (manager director F1 Academy). The Austrian has since been completely cleared of all blame. This is not the case for Horner (yet).
Wolff talks about Horner case
On case with Horner, Wolff says: "I think it’s clear. F1 and the teams stand for inclusion, equality, fairness and diversity. But not only talking about it, living it day in day out. These are the standards we set ourselves. But having said that, there’s a lot of speculation over the last weeks. Lots of things that are going on. Red Bull have started an independent investigation. If this is done in the right way, transparency then it’s something we need to look at, the outcomes and how we can learn about that. We want to talk about racing cars, the sport. Rather than this. Wolff told.
Formula 1 had already called on Red Bull last week that the matter should be resolved correctly, but preferably as soon as possible. Currently, Horner is working normally at Red Bull Racing. The Briton is in Bahrain.
