What if Horner has to leave? Verstappen: 'Don't even think about it'

Max Verstappen is not at all concerned with what the outcome of the investigation into Christian Horner will be. There is turmoil at Red Bull Racing on the eve of the new season in Bahrain, but that turmoil does not seem to reflect on the three-time world champion.
Verstappen remains calm
"I'm actually not too concerned with that, I'm just here to do my job, and for the rest, we'll see what comes out of it," Verstappen revealed in a conversation with Dutch media, including GPblog. The Dutchman answers questions regarding Horner's position, but he cannot say anything about it in detail."That is also not up to me, I am not involved in the whole story. Ideally, I want to stay out of it."
It may not be the most ideal build-up to another season. Does he regret it taking so long? "No, I trust the process the team is in and you have to be patient in that." And what if Red Bull decides to dismiss Horner? What next? "I don't even think about that. I'm paid to drive on the track and not to be busy with things around it."
In the press conference, the Red Bull chief said, "I do not want to get into that because it's not my case anyway. We just have to be patient because there's no need to start saying things, start screaming things out loud. You have to be patient. I think I've learned that over the years anyway," Verstappen said, who did stress that Horner is a very important person within Red Bull. "I think he's very important otherwise he wouldn't be in that position right for such a long time."
