Hamilton raving about new W15: 'Truly a race car'
Lewis Hamilton is driving a 'real race car' in his final year for Mercedes. The Brit finished the second free practice at the very top of the timesheet, and is enthusiastic. The man who has already become a seven-time Formula One world champion explains why he likes the W15 better than the previous W14 and W13.
"Yeah, I'm much happier with the car this year. My seat position is better. My seat position is finally further inwards, I've got a better feel for the car, approaching the corners but there are other areas that have been fixed and improved and it just makes it feel, it feels like a race car for once and the last two cars didn't feel like that," the Mercedes driver explained to F1TV.

"It's a really good platform for us to work on and we've just got to keep our heads down and keep on chasing," admitted Hamilton.
Hamilton is still in the hunt for his eighth world title. Should that fail at Mercedes this year, he will have another chance at Ferrari. Hamilton will become Charles Leclerc's teammate at the Italian Scuderia in 2025. Nevertheless, the driver is still confident of winning a world championship at Mercedes.
