Albers no fan of Horner action That's just a mismatch

Albers doesn't understand Horner's PR move: 'What a farce'

At a time when Christian Horner is under heavy fire, there was his wife Geri's open show of support last weekend in the paddock in Bahrain. By walking hand in hand and kissing each other intimately in front of flashing cameras, the couple wanted to show unity. Former F1 driver Christijan Albers watched the whole scene with amazement.

Albers thinks Horner had an affair

"It's quite a bit of a difficult story. Looking at it from the outside I do have the idea that they had an affair, and my feeling is that after the affair it ended, and he moved on. I take that from everything I've been forwarded, from all the journalists who got material. It is difficult to interfere with that, because you never really know what exactly happened," Albers explained in De Telegraaf's Formula 1 podcast.

"What kind of farce is that?", Albers then wonders aloud, when asked about Christian and Geri's open declaration of love. "It's always very easy to say something about that, it is for me too. It's easy to undercut someone. Only, let's be honest, that PR guy, or what he himself came up with to walk onto the paddock with Geri, is of course just absolute nonsense. That's just a farce, and I would never have done that myself."

Already in the UK media, reports about the investigation into Horner mentioned that the Brit is married to the former Spice Girl. Thus, it was reported that Geri was "absolutely devastated" by the allegations. Encouraging messages were reportedly sent to Halliwell in the Spice Girls' group app.
