Verstappen and Perez look ahead: 'Will be interesting to see'
Max Verstappen leads the F1 world championship again after one Grand Prix weekend. The Red Bull Racing driver hopes to maintain that leading position next weekend, when racing takes place in Saudi Arabia. As in past years, the Jeddah Corniche Circuit will be the venue.
"The team had a great first race of the season and I am looking forward to Jeddah," Verstappen said. "It is a proper high speed semi street circuit, seeing less degradation on the tyres. It is going to be a bit warmer too compared to Bahrain, so will be interesting to see the difference in performance between all teams, as the track layout is completely different to last week."
Verstappen won once in Saudi Arabia, in 2022. Last season, Sergio Perez was the best there, after Verstappen had to start from the rear after engine problems during qualifying. "Last year it was a good track for us so let’s hope we can do something similar and secure a great performance for the Team," said the three-time world champion.

The Mexican driver is also looking forward to returning to Jeddah. "Things weren't totally perfect in the first race and there is plenty of evolution to be done with the car but we have a good base to work from now. There is always plenty of action at this race and it could be a really tight one. Last year I had a great win and would love to repeat it."
