Internet reacts positively for Bearman, pity for Sainz
Oliver Bearman will be in action on behalf of Ferrari at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix. Carlos Sainz needs surgery for appendicitis. Online, there are concerns for Sainz but a lot of positive reactions for Bearman.
Imagine getting pole in F2 and having to retire from the weekend, to instead get to race an F1 wagon. Up the Bearman!#f1 pic.twitter.com/zqvxAHyxQK

Carlos Sainz has been diagnosed with appendicitis and will require surgery.
He will be replaced by reserve driver Oliver Bearman. Oli had taken pole for the feature race last night.
Get well soon @Carlossainz55, I know a good surgeon if you need

Wishing well to Carlos for his recovery. Huge opportunity for Bearman jumping straight into the Ferrari for his F1 debut. https://t.co/QeBaHAjsNF

What an incredible opportunity for Ollie Bearman to step in this weekend
A huge talent, let’s see what he can do!!
The task ahead of Bearman is huge. His F2 pole lap yesterday was a 1:42.2. Checo’s F1 pole here last year was 1:28.2. So while he may know the track, it’ll suddenly be coming at him 14 seconds faster over the 6km lap. Massive challenge. It’s gonna feel like a rocket ship. pic.twitter.com/Ao7YPrG9od
