'Horner must defend himself again: Woman who accused him appeals'
The woman who brought charges against Christian Horner has decided to appeal. This has been reported by The Telegraph. The woman reportedly switched lawyers for this appeal.
Red Bull Racing seemed to end the turmoil when Red Bull GmbH announced that Horner had been cleared of all allegations. However, things have not remained calm. There have been strong calls for more transparency from Red Bull, and there are also questions about the investigation's independence internally.
Why the woman is only now appealing against Horner
The woman who filed charges still had a chance to appeal and wanted to take advantage of that. The Telegraph reports that an appeal from the woman can be expected in the next few days. It is said there has been some delay because she switched lawyers. However, her wish is to appeal.
Earlier, a friend revealed that the woman was very disappointed with Red Bull as a company. Not only was her charge brushed aside, but she was also suspended by Red Bull Racing for allegedly not being fair in making that charge. Because of this conduct, she lost confidence in the company.
Jos Verstappen also supported the woman who made the charge against Horner. The Dutchman felt sorry for her and what she had to go through. Verstappen has repeatedly stated that he believes Christian Horner should step down to end all the turmoil. However, with the backing of the Thai owner, Horner does not seem likely to choose that so soon, much to the displeasure of Red Bull's Austrian branch and Verstappen's camp, GPblog revealed earlier.
