Can anyone beat Verstappen right now? This is what Max himself says!
Things may be unsettled within Red Bull Racing, but in terms of on-track performance, things are running smoothly. Max Verstappen tops the championship and does not seem to have to worry about the other teams. In Australia, the Dutchman responded when asked if he feels unbeatable.
Last season, Verstappen broke one record after another. Never before, for example, has anyone won 19 races in a single season, and never before has anyone had such a high winning percentage in an F1 season [86.36%]. Verstappen also picked up the most number of points ever scored in a season.
In 2024, Verstappen continues this streak for now. He won the first two races of the season supremely and the competition does not seem strong enough to pose a serious challenge to Red Bull. Many people think the Dutchman is simply unbeatable at the moment.
Is Verstappen unbeatable in Formula 1?
Verstappen himself has a different opinion: "I don't really think about being invincible. As a driver, you always have to believe that you're the best on the grid. But on the other hand also I'm not really too worried about thinking that way. I'm just enjoying myself. I feel good with the car. And I guess that's enough. I know that when I get to the race weekend that I always try to do the best I can. I try to really maximise everything that I can. And of course when you then have a great car then you are able to do great things."
