Full results FP2 Australia | Verstappen again P2, Leclerc fastest
The second free practice session for the Australian Grand Prix proved a winner for Charles Leclerc. The Ferraris and Aston Martins were fastest for almost the entire session. Max Verstappen was inside for a long time during FP2, but was able to take to the track eventually. The reigning world champion finished P2, where he also finished in FP1.
At the Albert Park Street Circuit, Max Verstappen was indoors for a while as the floor of his RB20 was being tinkered with. After fp1 and before FP2, the floor was replaced on the Dutchman's car. As a result, the three-time world champion was out of action for the first 20 of the second practice session and had less time to collect data.
A notable name in the top three during much of the second practice session. Lance Stroll impressed in FP2, having been continuously faster than Fernando Alonso, and faster than much of the entire field.
