Maloney retains lead in F2 championship, first points for Bearman

With his victory in Australia, Isack Hadjar has moved up to fourth in the Formula 2 championship. Zane Maloney is still the leader. Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Oliver Bearman, surely the big favourites prior to the season, are not yet where they would like to be.
Maloney finished third in the feature race, but did not score any points in the sprint race after making a mistake in the race. Maloney remains firmly in the lead, however, ahead of surprising rookie Paul Aron. Dennis Hauger is on P3, but that could have looked much better had he not crashed in the main race.
Isack Hadjar is this weekend's big winner. The Red Bull Junior Team driver won the sprint race and the feature race. However, Hadjar lost the sprint race after a few hours due to a dubious time penalty.
Andrea Kimi Antonelli is also getting into his rhythm. The talented Italian took P2 in qualifying and just missed out on his first podium in the feature race. Antonelli will probably regret his spin in the sprint race, which cost him many points. Oliver Bearman also scored points. After three race weekends, the Briton is on one point after finishing 10th in the feature race. He still has more points to his name in F1.
