Hamilton happy with Liberty Media MotoGP takeover

Liberty Media, the owners of Formula 1, reportedly paid 4.2 billion euros to acquire 86% of MotoGP. Almost immediately after the announcement, rumours emerged about a possible 'Super GP', a race weekend format where both Formula 1 and MotoGP compete at the same circuit during one weekend. Lewis Hamilton is a big supporter of this idea.

The Briton foresees a bright future for MotoGP with Liberty Media as the new owner. "I didn't really think a lot about it. I think Liberty have done an amazing job with Formula 1. I think they can do a great job with MotoGP. It is exciting because I love MotoGP."

Hamilton does see F1 and MotoGP together

The seven-time world champion also envisions a Super GP. "It would be epic to have MotoGP and F1 on the same weekend. I could do a race in MotoGP and race in Formula 1 at the same weekend. That would be pretty cool. But, yes. I mean, maybe there's a chance," Hamilton concluded jokingly.
