McLaren replaced a component on Lando Norris' car before the sprint race in China. The pole-sitter will not pick up a penalty for this. Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez also had a parts replaced.

After the sprint shootout, teams could not get to the cars due to parc fermé rules. Nevertheless, several cars had parts replaced. This is only allowed for safety reasons, must be the same version of the part and must be approved by the FIA. In this case, that has happened for all changes.

Verstappen's Honda engine had a spark plug replaced. Perez's car's floor had been changed, although the specification remained the same. Parts were also replaced on the cars of Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris, Pierre Gasly, and Daniel Ricciardo ahead of the sprint race in China.
