By taking pole position in China, Red Bull Racing have reached a milestone number. It is the 100th pole position for Red Bull Racing since the constructor started in Formula 1.

Red Bull's first pole position was in 2009, also in China. Sebastian Vettel achieved this pole. The German, who also became four-time world champion with the Austrian team, took 44 pole positions for Red Bull.

The Dutchman has been driving for Red Bull Racing since 2016, but he only secured his first pole position in 2019. He did so at the Hungarian Grand Prix. The three-time world champion is, however, on course to overtake Vettel as the driver with the most pole positions for the team. In fact, Verstappen is on 36 pole positions, meaning he needs to get eight more to reach parity.
