Verstappen not looking too far ahead: 'Don't want to think about it now'
After the first sprint weekend of 2024 in China, another sprint race is also scheduled for the Miami Grand Prix. The general assumption is that Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing will have the best cards there too, but the championship leader himself does not want to go that far yet into the future.
Verstappen does not look too far ahead
At the Shanghai International Circuit, Verstappen showed another dominant performance. "It was a good one yes. In terms of just also balance in the car, where we we did a good job as a team to to make it even better than what it was at the start of the weekend," the Dutchman told reporters after the Formula 1 race in China.
Asked if there is any reason to believe we will not see a repeat of that in Miami, Verstappen holds off the boat somewhat. "It's a completely different track, different tyres, different tarmac so you never know. We need to be perfect you need to try and be perfect we need to always try and find the best setup on the car to be able to show performances like we did today.," he explained.
"So that's what we'll try to do, but also the other end I don't want to think about it too much now, first want to go home and then we prepare like we always do and hopefully that's that's good enough you know when we we get there," said the three-time world champion.
