Jacques Villeneuve praises Sainz
The 1997 world champion, Jacques Villeneuve, has been very supportive of the only non-Red Bull driver who won a Grand Prix in the current and last season, Carlos Sainz. The Canadian driver believes Ferrari could regret signing Lewis Hamilton and keeping Charles Leclerc, and in order to make way for the Briton, now Sainz has to leave.
Villeneuve also praised Sainz: "He is certainly outperforming Leclerc. People are starting to realise he is a serious contender. He is very mature and dedicated, clever, and works hard which is really making a difference," he told Casino Online In.
Hockenheim hope to return, Andretti still wish to join
The Hockenheimring now plan to finally to return to the Formula 1 calendar. Since 2019, there wasn't a German Grand Prix, and the fans hope that the pinnacle of motorsport return to Germany. Audi's entry also could be one of the reasons why that is.
"Everyone in charge at the Hockenheimring is striving for the return of Formula 1," Hockenheimring GmbH commented. No year has been pointed out yet about a potential return.
Another group chasing their F1 dream are the Andrettis. Just ahead of the first Grand Prix of the United States in the year, Andretti Global are determined to finally join the sport, and underlined that their recruitment process has begun in order to join in 2026.
Zak Brown takes a jab at Red Bull Racing
CEO Zak Brown is very happy with the situation of his team ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, the American businessman said at the Monaco ePrix. While saying that McLaren will stay out of this year's silly season (McLaren and Ferrari are the two only teams with two drivers signed for 2025), he also added that "we know our team principal," referring to the turmoil at Red Bull Racing.
