Verstappen looks ahead to next weekend's Miami Grand Prix

Miami Circuit can charm Verstappen: 'Makes it extra interesting'

2 May at 08:00

Max Verstappen managed to win four of the five Grands Prix this season. Before this season, the Red Bull driver had never won in China, but that changed last race weekend. Next weekend, the Miami Grand Prix is on the programme. It is one of three races to be held in the United States. Verstappen looks ahead.

"Miami is always one of the most physical tracks, especially with the heat and humidity, but we are looking forward to the challenge this weekend. It’s an interesting circuit with a real mix of corners and long straights, so it will be critical to extract learnings from the car where we can over the weekend. The track is good for racing, with some high speed sections, so it makes it more interesting with this being the second Sprint race in a row" Verstappen said ahead of the weekend in Florida.

New helmet for Verstappen in Miami

"It is always a busy weekend on and off the track for the Team and we have had some good memories at this track; Miami doesn’t disappoint in creating a fun and exciting atmosphere for the fans. I will be looking forward to racing in my new special edition USA helmet this weekend and wearing the design that reflects the fans’ passion for the sport," Verstappen concluded.

The helmet that Verstappen will wear during the weekend in Miami has many American shades. For example, it features the flag of the United States. Verstappen will wear this helmet at all races in America this season. So that means at the Miami Grand Prix, United States Grand Prix and Las Vegas Grand Prix.
