Charles Leclerc unveils his blue helmet for Miami Grand Prix

Ferrari don’t, but Leclerc helmet turns blue for Miami

3 May at 14:00

After teasing across social media that they were going blue for Miami, Ferrari unveiled a still very red car for the weekend. However, driver Charles Leclerc has fulfilled the brief, and has since shown off his helmet design for the weekend to support the one-off colourscheme.

To celebrate the team's 70th anniversary of racing in North America, Ferrari have gone blue. The drivers will be seen wearing blue racing suits, whilst the car features some flashes of the iconic shades. The team also unveiled their new sponsor's, HP, logo on their car.

Nevertheless, Leclerc has since shared his helmet for the weekend, which is fully blue.

"It's one of the weekends in the season where there's the most show and energy around the track, which is really, really cool," the Monegasque driver commented.

"I enjoy it because the sport remains the core of the weekend, of course, with a bit more things going on around, so it makes us a bit busier, but it's all for fun. So that's good, and it doesn't change our focus, which is obviously to win on Sunday. But it's a good place to be. I love Miami as a city. And yeah, I'm happy to be here."
