Max Verstappen secured pole for Saturday's sprint race in Miami. The Dutchman definitely did not expect to have finished P1 and was pleasantly surprised when he got Christian Horner on the board radio saying: 'Max, that's P1'. Verstappen's reaction was quite remarkable.

That Verstappen had finished P1 in the sprint shootout in Miami was not what the Red Bull driver had expected. Indeed, he was not at all satisfied with his lap in SQ3. "LOL. What happened to the others? I did terrible. I mean I take it but yeah...," the driver stammered over the board radio.

Charles Leclerc finished second during the sprint shootout, and teammate Sergio Perez will start from the second row of the grid on P3 during the sprint race. A notable name is, former Verstappen teammate Daniel Ricciardo on P4. The good-humoured Australian will thus start alongside Perez during Saturday's sprint race.
