This is why Carlos Sainz's isn't optimistic for the Miami Grand Prix
Carlos Sainz finished third in qualifying for the Miami Grand Prix on Saturday. Among others, the Spaniard was faster than Red Bull driver Sergio Perez and was just shy of his teammate at Ferrari, Charles Leclerc. Afterwards, the three-time Formula 1 race winner was, therefore, in good spirits.
"not bad. Made some progress compared to yesterday, and I had a better feeling with the car which allowed me to push the limits a bit better. At the same time, as same as these guys, it was a bit of a lottery out there, putting a lap together was extremely difficult," Sainz said during the press conference after qualifying.
'Difficult to win'
Despite the positive feelings after Saturday, the Ferrari driver thinks it will be difficult for his team to compete for victory. "When Max starts in front, it's always difficult to find ways to beat him. Having two cars is our best possible bet in trying to do that, and we'll give it our best shot. Obviously, if you look at the last statistics, it's going to be extremely difficult, but we'll give it our best shot," Sainz concluded.
