Max Verstappen will start the Miami Grand Prix from the most favourable starting position on the Formula 1 grid. The Dutchman once again proved his class during qualifying, setting the fastest time. Team boss Christian Horner is therefore full of praise for the triple world champion. The Brit explains what makes the Red Bull driver so good.
Horner gives Verstappen kudos after qualifying in Miami
"I think he's just managed to extract the maximum amount of the car. I think that the circuit conditions were difficult for everybody, you could hear everybody struggling to find that balance and the grip on the last run, so he did enough to get the pole, his seventh pole in a row, his sixth of the season, and all six races so far. So a phenomenal performance by him," Horner told F1TV.
Asked if anyone could keep up with Verstappen during the race. "all the usual caveats exist. So we've got to get a good start. The strategy will be crucial. Safety cars at the right time or wrong time. Reliability too, there's all the usual caveats. So you can see it's tight. Ferrari are there, pretty much there," Horner concluded.
