Carlos Sainz is not satisfied with the actions of the stewards in the US city after the Miami Grand Prix. There were several incidents between drivers and, according to the Spaniard, the stewards were not strict enough.

Carlos Sainz felt the stewards were not strict enough at the Miami Grand Prix. He had contact with Oscar Piastri on several occasions and it remained unpunished until now. Incidentally, the Spaniard has yet to report to the stewards for any of the incidents with Oscar Piastri. During the race, the Spaniard also claimed that Piastri went off the track giving him an advantage and had to give back the spot. This was not the case, reported the FIA, and so the Australian was able to stay ahead of Sainz.

According to Sainz, he suffered a lot from several incidents with drivers he told Sky Sports. "I think today, everyone was racing very hard. First Checo at the start, like they said in the old days with Seb [Vettel], 'he came like a torpedo' and nearly took us all with him and lost me two positions. From then on, I was very quick. I saved my tyres and didn't catch the Safety Car for one lap, which could have given us the win. Then frustrated with Oscar, because he clearly pushed us off track and cost us to lose time with Charles and Max. I saw the stewards were not being very aggressive today with penalties, so I had to be aggressive to send it."

Towards the end of the race, Sainz said on the team radio that he was suffering from problems. This was due to contact with Piastri. "Yes, we had contact twice today. Once because of his late braking, pushing me off the track, and then me with my late braking, locking the rear tyres and losing the rear. But I don't know how much damage I had. I was pretty quick at the end, same pace as Lando, so hopefully I didn't have too much," said the Spaniard.
