Lie detector confirms Norris will win a World title with McLaren
Lando Norris earned his maiden Formula 1 victory with a superb drive at the Miami Grand Prix, driving away from Max Verstappen after pitting under a timely safety car. But before the race around the Miami International Autodrome, the 24-year-old faced a lie detector, and among other things, he said he would win a race in 2024, which he then went on to do at the first attempt.
Before Sunday's race in Miami, Norris was involved in a TV segment for Sky Sports, which involved the Brit being asked questions while hooked up to a lie detector. One of the questions asked was, "Will you win a race in 2024?" Norris replied with, "Yes," very quickly. The lie detector said that Norris was telling the truth, so he continued to be asked about his chances of victory in 2024. "You believe in it? You think it's a good car, do you?", to which Norris replies, "I'm just fed up with not believing, so I've decided to change my attitude!" Little did the McLaren driver know that victory was just around the corner.
What else did the lie detector confirm?
Another question that was posed to Norris was whether he would win the World Championship in his career. The 24-year-old was asked, "Are you going to be World Champion one day?" Norris quickly answered, "Yes," which was the truth. This promoted the next question: "With McLaren...?" to which Norris said, "Yes." That was also marked as a truthful response.
