Not all Formula 1 teams are happy about Red Bull Racing having two teams on the grid. However, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali believes there is no cause for concern, stressing that the Red Bull and Visa Cash App RB partnership has also brought much to the sport.

Domenicali defends Red Bull and RB

"The subject of Red Bull's two teams has been on the table for a few months now. However, I want to stress right away that we must not forget the benefits Red Bull has brought to Formula 1 through the purchase and management of a second team," Domenicali told the Italian branch of Motorsport.com.

According to the 59-year-old Italian, it is entirely up to Red Bull whether they wants to retain ownership of both teams in the long term. However, he does point out that different choices may be made in the future. "We know that the more we grow, the more the value of each team's franchise increases. We are also aware that the ownership of multiple teams, and therefore the number of votes in the F1 Commission, may be subject to discussion."

Then there is the issue of parts that can be bought and sold by the teams. "I think this is an aspect that should be approached with caution. The balance struck now is not bad. We are talking about parts that some teams have been buying from others for many years. In this sense, there are no signs that changes to the current regulations are needed," Domenicali said.
