Adrian Newey is continuing his F1 career at Ferrari, according to British newspaper The Daily Mail. According to the outlet, Newey and the Italian team have agreed to work together. The Daily Mail says it relies on Italian sources, who report that the contract has even already been signed or is about to happen very soon.

Newey announced a few weeks ago that he was leaving Red Bull Racing. At the time, the Austrian team's CTO said he had been toying with the idea of making one last move - at the age of 65 - for some time. He also said that internal problems and the hassle surrounding team boss Christian Horner had played a part in his decision.

Newey will leave Red Bull for good after the first quarter of 2025. He is already no longer involved in the team's day-to-day running. Newey is currently focusing on the further development of the RB17, Red Bull's hypercar. However, the master designer will still be present at some Grands Prix this season, where his role for the F1 team is thus limited.

Newey may work for Ferrari as early as 2025

Right at the start of the second quarter, Newey is basically free to join another employer. Williams has made no secret of trying to lure Newey to the team. So that attempt appears to be failing, according to The Daily Mail, with the deal between Newey and Ferrari. At the Italian team, Newey would come to work with the most successful F1 driver in history, Lewis Hamilton, who hopes to win his eighth world title with the designer's help.
