Helmut Marko confirms Newey's future plans: 'I'm sure of that'

Adrian Newey will step down from Red Bull Racing's Formula 1 team from the beginning of next year. What the top designer will do next is not yet entirely clear, but Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko thinks he certainly knows what Newey will do.
After almost two decades of loyal service at Red Bull Racing, Adrian Newey is leaving the team. The Briton's gardening leave is shorter than expected. He would be allowed to start working for a new team as early as the beginning of 2025. Meanwhile, the top designer is already 65, so a possible retirement could also be in the offing.
Newey himself previously hinted that he will probably join another F1 team after all. Although he is due for some time off and holidays, he says he will probably start somewhere again at some point. After all, he would miss out if he did not.
Marko sure Newey will stay in Formula One
Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko also thinks Newey will remain active in Formula 1. He confirmed this to the Kleine Zeitung. "He will stay in Formula 1, I am sure of that,'' the 80-year-old said.
