Charles Leclerc was the quickest driver in the final free practice session ahead of qualifying, his quickest lap time was a 1:11.369. Approximantely two tenths behinnd, Max Verstappen finished in P2, while Lewis Hamilton rounded of the Top 3 in Monaco.

After the drivers approached the first half of the session finalising their set ups ahead of the most important qualifying session of the season on the soft tyres, most competitive laps were done in the second half. Charles Leclerc once again retained the top spot in the session, with Max Verstappen finishing in second place ahead of Lewis Hamilton. The leading McLaren car in the session was Oscar Piastri.

Incidents

12 minutes into the session, Valtteri Bottas hit the wall in Sector 3, breaking his front right suspension, and his car had to be removed from the track. It was not the biggest of accidents, the tyre just hit the wall in the wrong angle, unluckily for the Stake F1 driver. Bottas tried to bring his car back to the pit lane, but his car was unable to turn further. It only took the marshalls a couple of minutes to clear the track.

Lando Norris and George Russell will also have to make an appearance in front of the stewards, after the latter blocked the McLaren drivers on a fast lap. Norris was not the only driver fed up with traffic, it also happened to Verstappen when he yelled "my god" to Gianpiero Lambiase.

Other than that, similarly to the other free practice sessions this weekend, drivers visited the escape roads in Turn 1 and in Mirabeau, but only Bottas had to retire his car.
