Verstappen has little hope for the race: 'No need to expect miracles'
- Cas van de Kleut
Max Verstappen is not having a great weekend so far. The speed was not really there on Friday and things also went wrong on Saturday after a mistake in the last qualifying lap. During the Drivers Parade, Verstappen looks ahead to the race.

When the championship leader was asked what he expects to be able to do during the race, he replied, "Well, normally not a lot around Monaco, it's very hard to pass. But we'll try something, we follow what is happening with the track, maybe potential safety cars. Just have to stay alert, see what happens. But on the other hand also, you cannot expect any miracles."
At the start, Verstappen will be in a sandwich of Mercedes drivers. Behind him Lewis Hamilton and in front of him George Russell. Before that, the McLaren's again start at P4 and P2. The Ferraris start at P3 and P1.
"You try to just do your own thing," states Verstappen. "Try to look at possibilities with the team and see what we can do. But there's a lot always going on. It's nice. In Monaco, everyone is very close to the track. And that thing is always very special."
