Several big names from Hollywood, including Brad Pitt and Channing Tatum, are working on a docuseries as well as a film about the Isle of Man TT. Pitt is working as a producer on the new project, alongside his work on the Formula One film that also features Lewis Hamilton.

Brad Pitt makes a film about the legendary Isle of Man TT

Production of the docuseries called 'The Greatest Race on Earth' begins this week, during the 2024 Isle of Man TT. It will be held from Saturday 1 June to Saturday 8 June. Later this year, production will start on the film, for which the screenplay is currently being written. This is what the film magazine Variety reports.

The legendary motorbike race on the Isle of Man is one of the most famous, but also one of the deadliest races that motorcyclists from all over the world can take part in. Taking place on the tiny Isle of Man in the Irish Sea, the race has a rich history dating back to the early 1900s, when road racing was banned in England and riders sought refuge on the Isle of Man.

One lap of the course consists of some 60 kilometres on the island's road network. There, motorbikes traverse small country roads and city streets at speeds of up to 320 kilometres per hour. Since the first edition in 1907, more than 250 people have died during the race or practice sessions. One of the deadliest editions ever was held in 2022, when a total of six participants were killed.
