Sergio Perez is back in the FIA press conference ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix. The driver recently announced he will stay with Red Bull for at least the next two years.

Perez present at press conference

Perez is the latest driver to announce his contract extension. This came as a surprise, as the Mexican has not had the best start to a season so far. In addition to the Red Bull driver, Pierre Gasly, Lance Stroll, Oscar Piastri, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Hulkenberg also join in.

Notable is the absence of Red Bull team principal Christian Horner at Friday's press conference, despite the announcement of Perez's contract extension. In his place are Aston Martin team principal Mike Krack and Ayao Komatsu (Haas F1). Finally, Andrea Stella (McLaren) and James Vowles (Williams) are also in attendance.
