- Sandy van Wijngaarden
Max Verstappen was once again unhappy with his car in the third free practice session in Canada. He failed to string together a perfect lap. The Dutchman could be heard complaining on the radio about steering problems.
In Monaco, the RB20 was not quite working to the Dutchman's liking. In Canada, things are still not running smoothly for Red Bull's team. During the second free practice session on Friday, he had problems with his engine. A lot of smoke came out of the RB20 and Verstappen had to pull his car into the garage and didn't get back out.
Verstappen had steering problems
The third free practice is normally already an important session just before qualifying, but due to the heavy rain that has fell so far this weekend, the session is crucial to collect data. The three-time world champion was out for the first time on medium tyres but soon complained of a problem.
Verstappen experienced problems with his steering wheel during this session. ''Mate. I don't know why but all weekend, this steering? Super weird for me,'' the Dutchman echoed.
