Max Verstappen has to report to the stewards after qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix. The Dutchman had a moment in the pit lane where he stuffed himself between several drivers. It will be seen after qualifying whether Verstappen will receive another penalty for this.

Before the second qualifying segment started, the first raindrops came down from the sky. This made the pitlane crowded, as all drivers wanted to get out as soon as possible. In doing so, Max Verstappen found himself in an uncomfortable position, having to slot in between other drivers. This moment was also noted by race control.

Not much later, it also became clear that the incident will be investigated. Indeed, Verstappen did not join the queue and thus inserted. After the session, the stewards will have to judge whether Verstappen and penalty will be given and what penalty is involved.

Verstappen must report to the stewards at 6.15 pm local time, then his incident in the pit lane will be investigated. The Dutchman finished qualifying in P2 after having the exact same time as George Russell.
