Tsunoda given fine for being late for national anthem in Canada

Yuki Tsunoda and Visa Cash App RB have been fined €10,000 for an incident prior to the 2024 Canadian Grand Prix. The Japanese driver turned up late to the National Anthem, and the stewards penalised this offence.

Penalty for Tsunoda

The stewards investigated the incident after the race and deemed a violation. The team took responsibility for the incident: "The team stated that they failed to inform the driver about the timing adequately and therefore caused the delay, but it is also the responsibility of the driver to arrive in time. It is noted that the driver, once made aware of his mistake, took every reasonable effort to attend the National Anthem as soon as possible."
