Peeing with Max Verstappen? It was possible in Canada last weekend

The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is a classic on the F1 calendar. F1 has raced on the track since 1978, although the circuit was originally officially called Ile Notre-Dame. Since then, there have been modifications to the track, but not many opportunities to expand. Finally, the circuit is on an island, so sometimes some improvisation is needed to keep everything on track.

In the paddock last weekend, for example, there were not the overpriced hospitality units with which the F1 teams tour Europe. Each team had been given their own tent by the organisers, where guests could be received and staff could have a bite to eat. It lacked a toilet too, which led to somewhat strange situations.

No private toilets for the drivers

In fact, there were about four toilet containers placed on the grounds, where drivers and team members could leave their big and small needs. But are were not the only ones allowed to use these facilities. Fans were also able to do so. So it could just happen that a fan dressed entirely in Red Bull merchandise was emptying his bladder next to Max Verstappen himself.

A small note though: only fans with a VIP ticket were allowed to pee with the drivers. Such a ticket required a minimum of 6,000 euros, but for that money you had an extra-special F1 experience.
