Horner does not name Mercedes as favourite: 'Especially McLaren and Ferrari'
- Estéban den Toom
After Grands Prix in Imola and in Monaco, Formula 1 went to the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Canada last week, which was won by Max Verstappen. The F1 circus heads back to Europe now, where the first triple-header of the season awaits. Christian Horner has confidence in Verstappen and his team, and has hope for the European circuits.
On 23 June, the five red lights go out in Barcelona, where the Spanish Grand Prix will be held at the Circuit de Catalunya. A few days later, the teams, drivers and cars head to Austria, where racing will take place from 28 June to 30 June. A week later is the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
Horner on the favourites
Horner, on Sky Sports, is already looking ahead to the triple-header starting next week. But he does not want to say too much about the upcoming races just yet. "All these cars will be great, especially McLaren and Ferrari. We expect to be good at the next three races. We are just looking at the next race only. That's how six of the nine races we've won so far have come about."
"We keep pushing. The team is doing incredibly well. I think Max and the team are in top form to come back this way after Monaco and win here," the team boss said of his own constructor.
