Marko: 'This fact of the competition is in Red Bull's favour'

Bringing different updates, there seem to be four different teams that can compete at the front for wins and podium places. Each weekend, a different team seems to be the fastest, depending on the track layout. This is to Red Bull Racing's advantage, Helmut Marko explained.
At the start of the season, it looked like Red Bull Racing was going to continue its 2023 dominance in 2024. After major updates from McLaren, Ferrari and now Mercedes, it is no longer a foregone conclusion that Red Bull will take home the most points.
Varying competition is in Red Bull Racing's favour
In his column for Speedweek, Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko wrote about the change in opponents for the Austrian racing stable. "This situation is a big advantage for us because the chasers are constantly changing. We don't have one opponent, but three that are taking points off each other. I hope this will remain so."
Besides the changing competition, which is an advantage for Red Bull, Marko also hinted at upcoming updates. "The competition has gained ground, there is no doubt about that, but we are not worried. There are further improvements to the car that are promising based on the data," the Austrian said.
