Bottas invovled in Finland's own cycling event with his girlfriend
Valtteri Bottas will be back on the track this weekend. But it's not the rack track that he is familiar with. He will be on the saddle of his bike this weekend as he takes part in another cycling event. Along with his girlfriend, Tiffany Cromwell, the Finn has created the FNLD GRVL race in his home country, and he is reaching out on social media to get more people involved in what will be a big event.
Bottas advertises 'last chance' to take part in cycling race
It is well known that Bottas is a keen cyclist, with lots of his free time taken up by getting himself involved in mountain biking events all across the world. Cromwell, his partner, is also a professional road and gravel cyclist, so they both take part in events together.
The next event they will be a part of is the one they have organised themselves, the FNLD GRVL. After organising the SBT GRVL in Colorado, USA, Bottas and Cromwell have created a gravel cycling race in the Sauber drivers' home country, taking part in the city of Lahti. There are three courses for people to choose from, rating from a beginners 40km course to a 177k gravel race, which features a 20,000 Euro Pro Prize purse. On his X (formally Twitter) account, Bottas said it was the "last chance" to be involved in the event this weekend as submissions come to a close.
