Lance Stroll has to report to the stewards for an unusual offence. The Aston Martin driver failed to show up at a mandatory fan event and will have to explain.

Stroll must go to the stewards

After the end of the first free practice session for the Spanish Grand Prix, the FIA announced that Stroll must report to the stewards. Not for an offence during the session, but before. The Canadian allegedly failed to show up at a fan event, even though participation in the activity was mandatory.

The regulations state that "drivers must be available for fan activities for a maximum of 30 minutes" in the 90 minutes prior to the first practice session. So Stroll would have failed to do that, which means he now has to explain to the stewards why he was not there. At 15:45, the Aston Martin driver must report to the stewards' office.
