The Aston Martin team is busy working its way to the top of Formula 1. From 2025, the British racing stable will benefit from a brand new wind tunnel, but they are also doing all they can to import extra know-how to the team based in Silverstone. The usually well-informed Formu1a.uno reports that Enrico Cardile, Ferrari's technical director, will switch to Aston Martin in 2025.

The Italian engineer has worked for Ferrari since 2016 and has gained increasing influence within the team over the years. He was head of the chassis department for a long time and officially became technical director when the current team boss, Frederic Vasseur, joined Ferrari.

Ferrari forced into internal musical chairs

So now, Cardile will reportedly make the move to Aston Martin, where he will once again assume the role of technical director. Loic Serra, the man who came over from Mercedes about a year ago, is likely to take over most of Cardile's duties.
