This weekend, the Austrian Grand Prix is on the programme. For Red Bull Racing, this is always a special race. Christian Horner told us after the Spanish Grand Prix what he expects from the race at the Red Bull Ring.

In recent race weekends, things have been sitting closer and closer together at the top. Last weekend, it looked like Red Bull no longer had the fastest car. Indeed, Lando Norris went incredibly fast in his McLaren. Despite that, Max Verstappen still managed to take victory.

Horner expects exciting GP Austria

Horner therefore expects it to be very close again in Austria: "I think it's going to be like the Brands Hatch Indy circuit where there's going to be half-tenths between the drivers, it's going to be on such a short lap, it's going to be so tight. We expect McLaren and Lando to be fast again, Ferrari, Mercedes, who knows."

"If you look at the gap to those guys after the race, they're going to be really, really fast," Horner continued. "It was pretty similar to last year. The one who stepped up is Lando. Obviously, we need to understand where our own deficiencies are and how we can improve.."

Fewer track limits at Red Bull Ring?

Normally, it is always about the number of decreased times due to track limits in Austria. Yet Horner expects that to be less the case this year: "I think they've put a gravel trap there now. So, it should deter drivers from going out there."
