A four-way battle awaits?

Being the shortest track on the calendar, the Red Bull Ring could bring the entire field even closer in sprint qualifying, with just a couple of tenths possibly separating the Top 10 or maybe even the entire grid drivers in SQ3. After starting the season out strong once again, Red Bull Racing are currently closely chased by McLaren, Ferrari, and now even Mercedes are breaking into the fight for stepping on the podium.

While Max Verstappen could still win two out of the last three Grands Prix, the Dutchman now failed to take pole position three weekends in a row. After Verstappen going undefeated, Charles Leclerc, George Russell and Lando Norris now also have one pole position each to their name.

From this season onwards, not qualifying for the main race, but sprint qualifying will take place on Friday afternoon. Also under the new format, teams will be able to change their setups after the Sprint, however, until Sprint Qualifying, they only had 60 minutes to set up their cars correctly. Finding the magic in such short amount of time could make the difference as a result this afternoon.
