Max Verstappen is in pole position for now, but it is still uncertain whether he will keep it. Indeed, the Dutchman is under investigation for something he did in Q3.

So far, Verstappen is experiencing a good weekend. On Friday afternoon, he took pole position for the sprint race. During this shorter race, he had to fight hard with Lando Norris for victory, but in the end, the Dutchman crossed the line first, giving him eight points for the World Championship.

Verstappen was also very fast during qualifying for the Austrian Grand Prix. The three-time world champion was a whopping 0.404 seconds faster than his direct rival, Norris.

Verstappen is 'under investigation'

However, it is far from certain whether he will keep this pole position for the race. This is because the championship leader is under investigation for an incident. He allegedly drove unnecessarily slow when exiting the pit lane. The incident was initially noted, but the FIA has since confirmed that Verstappen is under investigation.
