Provisional grid for the Austrian GP | Rematch for Norris and Verstappen
- Corwin Kunst
Max Verstappen will start Sunday's Austrian Grand Prix from pole position. At the Red Bull Ring, he will start from first place for the fifth time. He will, once again, share the front row with Lando Norris. Last week, Norris started from pole but didn't get off the line quickly and lost out.
As in the sprint race, the McLaren driver will want to apply the pressure from the first moment, to smoothly take over the lead in the race from the three-time world champion.
Norris must also look back, however, as George Russell and Carlos Sainz have not yet put victory out of their minds. They will start from third and fourth respectively in Austria. Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc occupy the third row of the grid, ahead of Oscar Piastri and Sergio Perez.
Aston Martin awaits a catch-up race for points. Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll were disappointed on Saturday with 15th and 17th.
