George Russell has shown concern after a difficult out-lap at the Austrian Grand Prix. The Brit complained of an issue with his steering and locked up into turn 3. His engineer assured him that the reason he locked up was just due to wind.

'Check the steering rack'

"Can you check the steering rack on the grid? It doesn't quite feel right." The Brit was worried on his lap to the grid. After this comment, he locked up in turn 3. His engineer assured him, however, that the reason he locked up was due to a gust of wind which was 40kph. On the grid, his Mercedes team removed the nosecone to check if his W15 was in order.

There are no issues for his teammate Lewis Hamilton. Russell will start the race from P3 today after Oscar Piastri was penalised for a track limit infringement.
