Norris could take advantage after Verstappen pit issue

Max Verstappen seemed to be leading without any problems, but over the onboard radio, Verstappen complained several times about his hard tyres. These were 's**', according to Verstappen. In traffic, with drivers being lapped by Verstappen, Verstappen therefore lost a lot of time. The eight-second lead was suddenly down to six seconds.

The pressure kept mounting on Verstappen, who just could not handle the old medium tyres. With pressure from Haas drivers behind him, Verstappen insisted on going in. At the pit stop, however, things went wrong. The pit stop was slow and with Norris coming in, Red Bull also had to wait to release Max.

Under the pressure of Norris, Verstappen also made a small mistake entering turn four. The Dutchman braked a little too late on cold tyres, but just made it through the corner. As a result, Norris came within a second of Verstappen and can now open the attack.
