Horner confirms Norris and Verstappen have spoken since Austrian crash

Christian Horner has confirmed Max Verstappen and Lando Norris have spoken to each other since their crash at the Austrian Grand Prix on Sunday. The Red Bull Racing boss also warned Norris that he can expect more of the same with the Dutchman in the coming weeks.

Everyone knew Lando Norris and Max Verstappen would crash at some point. The Austrian Grand Prix proved to be the first moment of contact between the two drivers. They are good friends and have often travelled home from races together in Verstappen's private jet. As was inevitable with both racing cars capable of winning Grands Prix, the two came together.

Have Norris and Verstappen spoken since the crash?

Lando Norris was furious with Max Verstappen after the Austrian Grand Prix. According to the Briton, Verstappen is responsible for the crash between the two, and he hoped Verstappen would come with an apology. His McLaren team boss, Andreas Stella, was also angry with the situation. The tension doesn't appear to be going away, with the British Grand Prix soon on the horizon. But Horner has confirmed the two drivers have spoken.

"I understand they've spoken already, I don't think there is any issue. Certainly, from Max's side, he's not going to change. There's an element, I think, of Lando learning how to race Max and they're discovering that. Inevitably, there is going to be more close racing between the two of them as the cars look so close over the forthcoming races," Horner told Sky Sports.

"Max is a hard racer - he's probably one of the hardest racers on the circuit, and everybody knows that if you're going to race against Max, he's going to give as good as he gets," Horner added.

The British Grand Prix at Silverstone is always one of the most highly anticipated events on the F1 schedule. The crash between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris at the Austrian Grand Prix has only intensified the buildup for the British GP. The British Grand Prix weekend kicks off on Friday, with the race taking place on Sunday at 15:00 local time.
