Max Verstappen and Lando Norris touched during the Austrian Grand Prix, forcing the McLaren driver to retire early. Verstappen was able to continue, but finished the race fifth. There was much talk about the Red Bull driver's driving behaviour, which some said had been too aggressive. Toto Wolff looked back at the situation and gave his verdict.

"Max drives the way he drives," Wolff responded to Mundo Deportivo when asked if the incident between Verstappen and Norris reminded him of the fight between Hamilton and Verstappen in 2021. "He (Verstappen) is very hard and he pushes as much as the rules allow him. And that just has to be discussed, but that applies to all drivers, because we also see with others," said the Austrian about the Dutchman's style.

"If you look at the Alpine fights or the fights with Tsunoda or Kevin [Magnussen] for example. Many drivers go so far that some say it is too much or unfair. I think we just need to clarify: what are the rules? In 2021 that was allowed, what do we do with that now?" concluded Wolff, calling for the rules to be clearer.
