Red Bull Racing give Verstappen two upgrades at Silverstone

Upgrades Red Bull and Verstappen for Great Britain GP Silverstone

The British Grand Prix is just around the corner. In recent years, the race at the Silverstone circuit has been another reason to bring lots of upgrades. The question is: what new parts have the teams brought to the UK this year?

Upgrades Silverstone Verstappen and Red Bull Racing

Max Verstappen will get two modifications to his car at Silverstone. These are not specifically for this circuit, but really for the overall performance of the RB20. Red Bull Racing have modified the edge of the floor and the bottom of the floor.

What upgrades are McLaren and Norris taking with them?

For Red Bull's big rival of late, McLaren, there are no updates along for the longer term. However, the Woking-based team does bring five updates specifically for this Grand Prix. These include a rear wing that provides lower downforce. In addition, three beam wings are included. Finally, Lando Norris also gets a modification to his bonnet. Namely, there is an extra outlet in there for cooling.

Other upgrades at Silverstone

Mercedes also bring a number of new parts. There are four in total, three of which are specifically meant for this Grand Prix. For instance, the front wing flap has been made shorter, the rear wing has also been modified and there is a smaller intake and exhaust at the front brake duct. There is also an upgrade along that is meant for a longer period. This one is at the rear corner of the car and it should ensure that there is more charge in the car.

Furthermore, Aston Martin have two more upgrades with it that relate to long-term performance, to the front wing and to the rear corner. Visa Cash App RB have brough one upgrade to the halo.

Stake F1 Team also have one upgrade with it, but to the floor. Last but not least, Haas have the most upgrades with them. Indeed, the US team introduce seven modifications to the car, to the floor, side pod, bonnet, mirror and rear corner. Ferrari, Williams and Alpine all come to Silverstone without any upgrades.
