What happened so far at Silverstone

McLaren look to be strong in their home Grand Prix so far. Lando Norris topped both sessions on Friday, and Oscar Piastri was not far behind either, as he finished in P3 and P2 respectively. Sergio Perez did finish third in FP2 after he missed out on running in the first session, as Isack Hadjar was driving his car, but Red Bull's true pace is yet to be seen. Max Verstappen has also declared that they will have a busy evening in the United Kingdom.

Off the track, tension also remained. While Lando Norris has said he has overreacted back in Austria, Andrea Stella and Zak Brown decided to double down. Helmut Marko himself did respond to the McLaren's statements talking to GPblog.

The weather can influence the team's approach to FP3 at the British circuit. While Weather.com predicts that qualifying will only be 'mostly cloudy', there is a 44% of rain during this session. The session will begin at 11:30 and will last 60 minutes, no matter if there is a red flag or not.
