Brown seems done with Red Bull: 'No interest in speaking to Horner'

Zak Brown was adamant in his verdict: Not only did the McLaren CEO think Max Verstappen had gone way over the line in his actions against Lando Norris at the Austrian Grand Prix, but Red Bull Racing was also said to have shown its worst side. However, the American is not waiting for a conversation about this with the Austrians' team boss Christian Horner.

"I am also disappointed in a great team like Red Bull. The management there only applauds this behaviour. But we have a responsibility at the pit wall to tell our drivers what can and cannot be done. We all have to respect the rules," Brown told the assembled newsroom at the Silverstone circuit press room on Friday.

Brown is not waiting for Horner to talk

The face of this team is the man who leads it, Christian Horner that is. Instead of expressing his displeasure through a media session, he could have taken a shot at Horner. Or, if something had not gone through the rules, the FIA. "That (addressing Red Bull, ed.) is the role of the FIA. I don't really have any interest in speaking with Christian," Brown said when asked about that.

This weekend, another confrontation between McLaren and Red Bull on the track cannot be ruled out. Indeed, Lando Norris showed during free practice that the British team are the fastest, but Verstappen and Red Bull were not far away.
