Christian Horner did not want to comment on Zak Brown's earlier remarks after the British Grand Prix. The McLaren CEO blamed Red Bull Racing for a lack of respect. They would encourage Max Verstappen's behaviour on the track. Horner, however, has no appetite for another feud.

When the Red Bull team boss was asked by a journalist on the Silverstone paddock in front of GPblog what he thought of Brown's comments, he replied, "I'm not going to dignify that with an answer."

Grand Prix just a little too short

Rather, Horner was talking about the sporting performance. He saw Max Verstappen come close to Lewis Hamilton in the closing stages. For the closing stages, the Mercedes driver opted for a set of softs, Verstappen was given a set of hard tyre. The Dutchman almost closed a gap of about eight seconds, but ultimately came up short.

"[It was] a great stop and good call to go onto the hard tyre. And Max's pace thereafter, again, he was circa half a second a lap quicker in the middle sector and just kept coming back and back past Lando and another lap or two. Who knows, he might have passed Lewis," Horner said.
